Ohio Lottery - Improve your Odds of Winning
Use this guide to determine when to play a specific game in the Ohio lottery.  This page focuses on the odds of playing any particular game and what I call the "Expected Value" to determine when is the best time to play.
Classic Lotto - Play
Based on the odds of playing the Classic Lotto the Jackpot should be at least $12,157,643 before you consider playing.

Mega Millions - Avoid
Based on the odds of playing the Mega Millions, the Jackpot shoud be at least $143,752,177 before you consider playing.  I do not recommend playing Mega Millions games because the odds are far too astronomical for you to affect.
Kicker - Avoid
The idea with the kicker is to lure people into playing by offering higher dollar prizes for the higher odd payouts.  This means that the jackpot is less.  The jackpot in this game is not high enough to attempt playing in my opinion.  The "Expected Value" is $0.42
Ten Oh - Avoid
Much like the kicker, the Ten Oh is designed to lure people into purchasing a ticket with a payout for choosing 0 of the ten numbers along with a decent payout scale.  This is a better game to play than the kicker because the jackpot is $500,000.  The "Expected Value" is $0.51
Rolling Cash 5 - Avoid
This is a game that resembles the mega millions and Classic Lotto but with lower payouts.  The jackpot starts too low to really justify buying a ticket.  But then again your odds are that much greater too.  The best time to buy would be if the jackpot is $411,286.
