Arizona Powerball Lottery Strategy

Powerball - Avoid
Based on the odds of playing the Powerball, the Jackpot should be at least $161,134,919 before you consider playing.  I do not recommend playing Mega Millions games because the odds are far too astronomical for you to affect. Note that you can also add to your potential winnings by choosing the powerplay option but this does not increase your odds of winning.

You may have noticed that more people win the Powerball lottery than any of the other major lotteries in the state of Arizona.  With such huge prizes it is a shock that anyone would ever win right?  Wrong, even thought the odds of wining the Powerball are so terrible approximately (1 in 195 Million), enough people play it to win on a consistant basis.  This, however, doesn't mean that the Powerball is a good lottery to play.  The reason that so many people win is because it is a multi-state lottery and most people that play the lottery go for the big win.

This is the illusion that the government has created to entice people into playing the worste game for them to play.  This means that more people play and lose the Powerball than any other lottery in the United States.

Strategy:
Well my first strategy would be to suggest that you stay away from the powerball all together and stick with one of the smaller Arizona lotteries, but if you are dead set on the Powerball then here are some tips.

First off I would still suggest that you set up a budget for your lottery money ( whatever it is that you currently spend per week on the lottery) and save it until the jackpot is big enough to justify playing (this is listed below).

When it comes to be the right time to play, you should further increase your odds of winning by joining a lottery syndicate.  A lottery syndicate is a group of people that pool their money together to increase the odds of winning the lottery.  You will have to split the winnings, but when the lottery is $200 Million who really cares.

So how does buying more tickets improve your odds of winning the lottery?  It is simple math.  Take for instance if you have odds of 1 in 100 and you were to buy 2 tickets you would then have a chance of 2 in 100 or in a fraction 2/100.  Now you take that fraction and put it in its simplest form 1/50.  It works the same with the larger numbers but your odds will never get that good unless you are willing to spend thousands or millions of dollars.  That kind of defeats the purpose doesn't it?
