Alabama Lottery - Lottery News
In recent history, a constitutional amendment
was proposed and shot down soundly by a
54/46 ratio. This forces most residents who
are still dead set on playing the lottery across
the border to Tennessee or Georgia as there is
no lottery in Mississippi either.
Recently the state of Alabama is digging up $218 million dollars to support the education program. This is bringing up the question once again whether or not the state should have a lottery program. Seeing how this was killed twice in the last decade, I have little hope for a new state lottery. Due to the highly religious populous of Alabama, it would take something drastic to change their unwavering resolve.
